Jay Blahnik is recognized as one of the premier fitness instructors, trainers and educators in the world today. He has taught sold-out exercises classes and seminars in over 30 countries across the globe, and is known for his results-oriented, simplified training approach.
Jay was chosen as one of the Top 5 Instructors in the world by Shape magazine, and Men’s Health listed him as having one of the Top 10 workouts of all time. He was also selected as the International Instructor of the Year by IDEA and Can Fit Pro, the two largest associations of fitness professionals in the world.
He has appeared in over 25 award-winning videos and developed some of the most successful health club exercise programs in history. He has been the fitness expert in hundreds of magazines, newspapers and on television, and consults for some of the biggest exercise, sports and fitness companies in the world, including Nike, Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn and Stairmaster.
Jay is also one of the is fitness experts for MSNBC.com, and his recent book entitled, “Full Body Flexibility,” has been a critically acclaimed best-seller.
Jerome Read, former Course Director and Business Development Director for FTP in London, England, is currently the Managing Director of Proactive Health Promotions Ltd., where he oversees the Bizzy Bodies children's fitness program, coordinates and develops personal training contracts and conducts fitness seminars for the British Army and other government departments.
Jerome earned a masters degree in exercise science from the University of East London and a bachelors of science degree from Loughborough University. He is certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor by ACSM, The American College of Sports Medicine.
As a competitive athlete, Jerome played for England's national water polo team from 1985-2002, medaling in the 2002 Commonwealth Games. He currently coaches England's National Men's Water Polo team and has been appointed head coach for the 2006 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne, Australia.
Shula first began working as a group exercise instructor for Fit to Perform UK in 1991. While completing her PhD in Anatomy and Physiology, Shula was involved with the development of training manuals for various Fit to Perform UK courses, including the Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer courses. Shula also acted as lecturer and examiner on the Fit to Perform Group Exercise Instructor courses between 1993 and 2000. Shula has presented and choreographed at several national and international conventions, including IDEA and FitPro.
Since moving to the United States as a post-doctoral fellow in 2000, Shula has worked as a lecturer and personal trainer, specializing in personal training for post-injury rehabilitation, as well as sports-specific training for runners, skiers and triathletes. As a competitive distance runner, Shula also provides running coaching and running training programs, most recently for the Nike ‘I run NY” program and the Newport Running Camps for children.
Tatiana Kolovou, MBA, is the owner of Team Performance - a professional development and consulting company specializing in the fitness management and business industries. She is a training consultant for Indiana University’s Human Resources designing and conducting seminars for professional staff on a wide range of organizational development topics.
As the former Assistant Director of Fitness/Wellness in the Division of Recreational Sports, Indiana University, Tatiana supervised one of the largest university- based group fitness programs in the country. Tatiana's responsibilities included programming for over 100 weekly classes and training for a staff of 40-50 instructors and their diverse needs in group fitness education.
Tatiana has over 18 years of experience in the health and fitness industry as a fitness manager, national presenter and coach. She has conducted workshops and lectures across the United States and internationally in Brazil, Germany, Greece, Canada, Taiwan, Russia, England, Hong Kong, Japan and Spain.
Tatiana's education includes a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a master's degree in business administration. She is certified by ACE, ACSM, is an ACE continuing education provider.
Tatiana is a Trainer and Presenter for The Nautilus Health and Fitness Group which owns the powerful Nautilus, Stairmaster, Schwinn, Quinton and Bowflex brands. In this role, Tatiana presents Nautilus education programs for instructors, trainers and program directors across the country. Her fitness workshops focus on: water fitness, functional group strength training, indoor cycling, treadmill training and overall sports performance and conditioning.
Tatiana is a native of Athens, Greece and a former competitive swimmer, water polo player and age-group swimming coach. She trains and competes in triathlons and road races and brings an athletic, motivational flair to all her fitness presentations.
Rob Glick has presented in more than 35 countries at hundreds of major fitness conferences. Rob recently received the 2005 OBOW Award (One Body One World) from East Coast Alliance as the Best Male Presenter. Rob continues to bring cutting-edge education, programming and choreography to group fitness with efi Sports Medicine’s GRAVITYSystem™. Rob assisted in the development of the GRAVITYGroup and GRAVITYPersonalTraining strength programs and has been instrumental in bringing efi’s GRAVITY4Programming to the club industry.
Throughout his career, Rob has consulted for top health club chains, most recently serving as National Program Developer for CRUNCH Fitness in the USA. Rob has starred in dozens of group fitness choreography videos, and is a master trainer for Schwinn® Indoor Cycling, BOSU Complete, and Body Bar. He holds a B.S. in exercise science and is a continuing education provider for both ACE and AFAA.
